This year has been another tough one for Democrats in Florida and across the nation.

Pundits, politicians, and party operatives are dissecting what went wrong, and while I have my own opinions, it’s just as critical to recognize what went right. At Team Anna, we’re not just analyzing the past; we’re building the future. We’re paving the way for a Democratic Party rooted in trust, collective power, and long-term wins—not just in elections, but in the hearts and minds of Floridians.

In 2018, we flipped this seat from red to blue and have held it ever since, even winning Republican-majority precincts that went to Trump. This didn’t happen by chance. It happened because of relentless organizing, strategic planning, and a commitment to engaging with people year-round. None of this would have been possible without your financial support.

This Donor Report dives deep into our voter outreach and power-building operations, but here are some key highlights:

We’re Always on the Ground. Since January 2023, we’ve been canvassing for the November 2024 elections. Our team knocked on 28,000 doors and left literature at another 10,000 doors. This wasn’t just for our race; we partnered with other local campaigns to ensure our infrastructure benefited more candidates. The result? HD42 had a 1.5% higher turnout than the rest of the county (Orange County turnout was at 73.3%), and we won precincts historically unfavorable to Democrats.

We’re Expanding Our Reach. Engaging young voters remains a priority. I personally spent significant time on campuses this year, hosting trainings and voter outreach programs. Our People Power For Florida team also leveraged online trends to reach young voters and create viral moments. Together, we registered more than 7,000 voters, primarily students, who are ready to make their voices heard and need mentorship to grow civically.

We’re Growing Online. Our digital footprint expanded dramatically in 2024, with our Instagram following increasing by 14,000. While much of this growth was organic, your financial support allowed us to amplify our reach through strategic online campaigns, text messages, and ads on streaming services and radio—delivering content in both English and Spanish.

We’re Delivering for Our Constituents. Our legislative team continues to lead with results. From providing top-tier constituent services to fighting for affordable housing, property insurance reform, public education, and environmental protection, we are laser-focused on alleviating the economic insecurity facing so many Floridians. We’ve held the line in the legislature, local government meetings, and rule-making processes, leveraging every platform to champion our constituents' priorities.

None of this progress would be possible without you. Thank you for believing in our vision for a brighter Florida. As you know, this is my final term in the Florida House, and it has been the honor of a lifetime to serve in this role and work alongside such an incredible community of changemakers.
